One-Off Bentley Continental Pickup On Sale For An Eye Watering £150k
There’s upmarket pickup trucks, there’s luxury cars and then there’s this. What was once a 2005 Bentley Continental Flying Spur is now a car crossed with a boat and we’re not sure whether to love it or hate it. Either way, its owner loved the idea enough to spend more than £120k on converting it into the ultimate luxury ‘utility’ vehicle.
It took 18 months to complete the build, which included removing the rear doors, seats and chunks of the roof. DC Customs then fabricated a truck bed and, “in line with our client’s vision, the body behind the cabin on the Flying Spur Decadence has been built to resemble a boat like stern design with the bed lined with real teak wood, complete with matching cabinets and drawers to maximise utility and house the two batteries.”
Just two years after the project was completed, it’s now been listed for sale with an asking price of £149,950. So, if you’re after a Flying Spur that’s seven times more expensive than an unmolested version, here’s the car for you. It’s still paired with its original 6.0 W12 engine that’s good for 550bhp, 480lb ft of torque and a top speed of 194mph. Not sure how the truck bed impacts the aerodynamics but supposedly 0 to 60mph will happen in 4.9 seconds. And if that wasn’t enough to seal the deal, it’s available with a coffee table book documenting the build.
