One F4 Car Hitches A Ride On Top Of Another In This Bizarre Crash

The third race of the 2018 Italian Formula 4’s opening weekend ended in retirement for William Alatalo and Aaron di Comberti, after one car appear to, erm, mount another.

Alatala was heading into the pits with wing damage from a prior incident, only to be hit by di Comberti from behind just before the pit entrance. di Comberti’s car was then briefly ‘stuck’ on top of Alatala, effectively hitching a lift for a few seconds before sliding partially off when the lower car hit a gravel trap.

An impressive - if unintended - feat, but we’ve seen better…
