The Painful Moment A Golf Mk2 Slams Into The Back Of A Porsche 991 GT3

During a Touristenfahrten day on the weekend, an unfortunate sequence of events (sparked by a badly-driven Ford Focus estate) causes a VW Golf Mk2 to smash into the back of a slowing GT3. Bad times...

Ford driver isnt at fault here, both Porsches could have continued. The Golf is the main victim here. Id say it the Porsches fault from my point of view.

Hopefully the Gulf can be repaired and hopefully the 911 didn’t have any electronic damage the car looked clean and I hope there’s no mechanical or cosmetic damage but I suspect the biggest problem is it may have screwed up the back up camera

Even though the Focus driver completely missed the turn, I don’t think he’s actually to blame here. He realized his stupid mistake and kept the car as far to the right as he could. The geezer in the red 911 GT3RS however got spooked and slowed down way more than he needed to, thereby surprising the white GT3 and the following Golf.

But I guess that’s driving on the ring for ya. I bet it’s hard enough without all the traffic buzzing around you. Sad that a good Golf Mk2 had to be at the receiving end though..

The red one also kind of cut off the white one. You can see him pull to the left in front of the white gt3 while braking, causing the white one to brake as well leading to the subsequent hit.

Sry to destroy some views on this, but the Focus estate wasnt the main issue, both GT3 drivers slowed down way to much, and the Golf 2 could react. I see the fault here at both GT3´s

well, Touristenfahrten are like regular drives on the Autobahn, same rules. So you have to Keep minimal safety distance, which the Golf sure hadn`t otherwise he would not rearended that car.

I agree that the Porsches dropped way to much speed but that’s because the ford looks like he’s just going to continue across the track until he jerks it straight

I’d hardly say slammed, more like a gentle love tap… Plus, isn’t rubbing racing? If you want to race, expect your car to get broken.

We always let each other try on our paint during races.”
