Part II - Think You Own The Ultimate Sleeper? Look Away Now...

Last week, Alex K stumbled upon possibly the world’s greatest Q-car - a bespoke 30s Rolls Royce with an 8.3-litre, 500bhp Viper V10. Today’s Craigslist-catch might just give it a run for its money in the sleeper-stakes, however…
This tatty, maroon, 1987 Chrysler Town & Country Station Wagon has a secret. Ok, several secrets. Beneath the faded paintwork, the comically dated interior and the worn wood panelling is a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4.

The owner claims to have swapped the “motor, transmission, suspension, brakes, and everything little in between”. Moreover, the engine itself - a 2.4-litre turbo - has allegedly been boosted to 300bhp with the help of a “factory stage 2 tune” - whatever that is.

As impressive as the Viper-engined Rolls is, it’s not really a “sleeper” in the conventional sense. It’s too polished, too perfect, too ostentatious. People will notice you - and that defeats the point of a sleeper entirely.
What you need is something so anonymous - which these things are stateside - that no-one will ever give it a second glance. The tattiness only adds to the appeal - and though the seller says it’d scrub up, we’d leave it the way it is. I mean, just imagine the looks on people’s faces...
It's yours for $5000. What do you think? This or the Rolls?
