Phat Arches & 500bhp Sorts Fugly Focus ST

Ken Block's fantasy Focus TrackSTer puts Audi R8 power through the front wheels. Damn son

I like a fast Ford. Who doesn't? Can't say I'm a fan of the new Focus ST's looks though. It sounds the nuts and is a tail-happy, quick-as-you-like hoot to pedal, but that gopping grille and melty body are a disaster.

Ken Block to the rescue; he can make a humble Fiesta into a street-fighting hero...

...so sorting out the Focus ST is short work. Check out the TrackSTer - an ST for the track, funnily enough.

Jalopnik reckons the spec makes this one of the most mental hot hatches ever, yet alone a front-wheel drive one. The huge tyres and massive flared arches scream rally car all-wheel drive, but apparently this is still a front-drive Focus. Only now, it's putting 504bhp through those front paws, up from 247bhp. I'll give you a moment to take that in.

Sure, the TrackSTer has got adjustable suspension, but fiddling with that will help as much as teaspooning water out of the Titanic. You're still in big, big trouble. Check out those discs, by the way. The brakes aren't even cross-drilled, and they're tiny on the rear.

Right, listen up, Ford. The next Focus RS needs looks like this. Diffuser from a Le Mans racer, a rear spoiler you could sleep on, wheelarches to die for and a blue-on-white colour-scheme. And sod the turning circle, it's crap on the Focus already.

This Focus TrackSTer is easily my biggest car WANT of 2013 so far. What's yours?
