The Porsche Mission E Concept Could Have Three Power Outputs
Porsche is ‘definitely considering’ three power output options for the ‘Mission E’ electric sports car, according to reports.
Project J1, which is now in testing, has drivetrains ranging from 402bhp to a fruity-sounding 671bhp, with a 536bhp option in the middle. It’s not yet final which versions will make production until reliability tests have confirmed how far Porsche can push the batteries and motors before heat build-up becomes a problem.
According to well-known and extremely well-connected freelance writer Georg Kacher, the all-wheel drive J1 will have a uniform electric motor on the front axle, spinning up to 16,000rpm for an output of 215bhp. Peak torque is a constant 221lb ft, peaking at 325 ‘briefly’ at full whack.
The rear motor will be the one that changes in the different power variants. A performance version of the module could send 429bhp and 406lb ft to the back tyres. You might need your local tyre shop on speed dial if you deploy all that regularly.
The Stuttgart sports car maker wants the car, which still lacks an official name, to drive with greater engagement and dynamism than the fastest Tesla Model S; a cast-iron endorsement of how good a job Elon Musk’s car firm did in the first place…

Porsche rn
POWAAAAAAAAAA
Just say you are gonna do it, Porsche
Quite the opposite tbh
Looks like a combo of the 918 and the panamera turbo!
It’s the best of both, I hope it looks similar in production form
Meanwhile in Stuttgart:
“Let’s make;
I think you meant
Meanwhile in Stuttgart:
“Let’s make a” ;
And all the other 23 subversions of it.
Unfortunately for the overzealous engineers, only 3 may make it through
It looks a bit awkward from the front, let’s try not to remember how that one Porsche that didn’t look like like a Porsche went.
Cool
