Porsche Wants To Tell You About Its Top 5 Concept Cars

Stuttgart is back with another of its overly-bombastic "Top 5" videos, this time focusing on concept cars

Like most major car manufacturers, Porsche has a back catalogue of weird and wonderful concepts, many of which have ended up largely forgotten by even the most avid of petrolheads. So it’s interesting to see the company wheel out the 989 concept - a 928-derived spiritual predecessor to the Panamera - from its museum, plus the Typ 754 T7 that effectively previewed the 911. We’re less sure about the Cayenne Cabriolet, though…

As with Porsche’s previous Top 5 videos the number one entry is there to plug a new product, but since the product in question is the utterly stunning Mission E concept, we shan’t complain.

Says Porsche always wanted to do a 4-seater sports car since 1988, fails to realize the 911 was a 4-seater from the start.

Was it only me that saw that more as a chronological ordering of concept cars instead of a Top 5 best, if it was my Top 5 that convertible Cayenne wouldn’t be anywhere to be found XD

The 989s rear door off coloring is really bothering me. Maybe because my miata has the same problem after repainting the quarter panel.
