Prepare Yourselves: A Ferrari SUV Is Definitely Happening

Ferrari CEO Sergio Marchionne has confirmed what we've long suspected: a Ferrari SUV is indeed happening

The number of performance car manufacturers without an sports utility vehicle in the line-up is set to shrink further. That’s right, it looks like the long-anticipated Ferrari SUV is actually happening.

“We’re dead serious about this [the SUV],” CEO Sergio Marchionne told Bloomberg on Monday. “We need to learn how to master this whole new relationship between exclusivity and scarcity of product,” he added.

How long will it take to decide on the “scarcity”? We’re looking at around 30 months, so you have over two years to get used to the idea. Marchionne has hinted at the prospect of a high-riding, “utilitarian” Ferrari before, but this is the firmest indication yet from the man that such a thing actually going ahead.

It’ll rival the Lamborghini Urus, another SUV spawned from a supercar-producing firm that’ll soon be here. But don’t panic, at least McLaren is still insisting it’ll stick to supercars and supercars only…

Why is there so much hate?
If it is going to be popular, it will fund Ferrari, and allow them to make great cars (and maybe fix their F1 title hopes lol)
Think back to Porsche and the Cayenne and Macan
Without those two SUVs, many of the great Porsches today would not have been built
EMBRACE THE FERRARI UTILITY VEHICLE

The thing is Sergio, Ferrari’s CEO, said that they would “have to shoot him first” before letting Ferrari create a SUV. Now, the SAME guy says he’s “dead serious about a Ferrari SUV”. Really shows that he is a man of his word, right?

Ferrari already belong to Fiat, they get plenty of money from Dodge, Jeep and Alfa Romeo SUV sales, they already have the Stelvio, so why bother to compromise Ferrari’s brand image?

An engineer from Ferrari actually kinda spoiled this at Goodwood FOS 2017 when the host asked if he could give a hint to what Ferrari is actually working on right now. And he said he can’t give much about info about it but it is a “TREND” and what’s the automotive trend this decade? SUVs…

Yes its stupid, dumb, and unneccary. But if that means they can earn more money and have more room to play with to experiment with some crazy super car idea’s here and there then ill accept it.

Let’s just hope it’s going to get a V12. Imagine that with a hybrid system!
