Pro Tip: If You Hit 164mph On A Public Road, Don't Post Photo Evidence Online

Police are investigating after a 29-year-old man posted a picture of his Audi S5 apparently hitting 164mph on a dual carriageway in Lincolnshire

Doing 164mph on a public road - unless it’s an empty piece of de-restricted autobahn - is a fairly stupid thing to do. Posting photographic evidence of the offence on Twitter? That goes above and beyond the realms of regular idiocy.

And yet, that’s precisely what 29-year-old boxing promoter Jamie Syndercombe allegedly did on the A1 dual carriageway near Leeds in a presumably de-limited Audi S5. He posted a picture of the speedo hitting 164mph on Twitter (see above), and on his Facebook profile.

Syndercombe, a boxing promoter and trainer, made what looks like a reference to newspaper stories about the high-speed run on his Twitter page this morning.
