£29k For The 305bhp Subaru WRX STI: Where Do We Sign?
We recently saw the leaked images of the WRX STI, and now we're very happy to report that the car we've all been waiting for will cost just a little more than the BRZ, yet it comes with a great deal more power. Better news still, is that it's coming to the UK.
The 2.5-litre Boxer four makes 305hp and 290lb/ft of torque in the STI, and gets a reinforced six-speed gearbox with a shorter throw and sportier shift.
Anyone who's ever sat in one of these AWD rockets will also be pleased to hear that the new car features an overhauled interior. There are soft touch materials in all the right places, while new dials and carbon-effect trim contribute to a more upmarket feel.
Standard spec on the UK model is decent; you get that rear wing and 18-inch alloy wheels which are lighter and more rigid than before. You also get LED lights and the all-important STI badges on the grille and wings.
You can grab a Subaru WRX STI this summer for £28,995, and since it looks like Subaru has listened to the critics and addressed all the things that held it back, it could prove to be the bargain of 2014. Sign us the hell up!
