Punting Your Fellow Club Racer Into The Barrier Is A Dick Move
For pushing Darelle Wilson’s VW Scirocco off track, Golf driver Toby Bearne was excluded from the entire race meeting, costing him two victories. He also had six points added to his racing license.
It’s important to remember with videos like these, that unlike when we see an incident at a higher level of motorsport, there aren’t huge, well-funded teams behind the racers to stick the cars back together. Getting back on track after a big accident is something that costs the competitors a great deal of money and heartache, which is why needlessly aggressive behaviour like this is such a sad thing to see in club-level motorsport.
We hope Wilson can get himself back out racing soon.

Nowhere near harsh enough punishment. This right here is agony, nobody’s fixing his car for him, who knows when he’ll get to race again. Glad he’s alright though.
And you can see how sad he was as soon as he got off the track, the way he sat put his head on his arms, sure he’s dizzy but you can feel the sadness from the lost car.

You won’t mind digging deep to contribute then 👍 As has been mentioned, not everybody has teams and sponsors, we just race for the buzz… That re-shell (at the minimum) will potentially put him out for a season… He may have insurance but that’s still at least 2 - 3 grand excess

I’ll also point out this isn’t quite club racing it’s more entry level motorsport along the lines of the GT5 challenge and clio cup, if he’s serious about it he’ll have insurance and the payout won’t be as much as everyone here seems to think. I don’t know if darrele Wilson has a team he may be a privateer but a lot of these drivers do have teams to prepare the cars for race meetings and repair damage.
