Readers’ Rides: Claire's Deadly 2013 Chevy Camaro ZL1

This week we're keeping it American on Readers' Rides. Following on from Koven's Challenger is this 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Boasting an impressive 580bhp and 556lb/ft of torque from a supercharged V8, this muscle car goes as fast as its looks demand.

My first car was a Ford Focus, but I soon fell in love with a red V6 Camaro as that's all I could afford at the time. After about a year, I began working more and set my sights on a Summit White ZL1. I picked the ZL1 because it's drop dead gorgeous and it has a monster of an engine. It's easy to modify and thrilling to drive.

The first time I drove the car I was literally shaking with excitement. When I sat in the driver's seat I had the biggest smile, and the best feeling was stepping on the gas for the first time.

In terms of mods, I've just worked on the looks. I've blacked out my bowties inside and out, installed LED lighting in the foot wells and fitted black side vent inserts, as well as matte black tail light bezels. I plan on installing LED Spyder tail lights as well as putting black vinyl on the front bumper fascia.

I plan on tinting the windows, tail lights, head lights, side markers, signals, and fog lights - it's a beautiful car and I just plan on improving it!
