Readers' Rides: Tyler's White On White E46 M3

A few months ago we featured Jeff's immaculate E36 M3. You guys quite rightly loved it, so when this similarly stunning E46 dropped into our inbox, we just had to follow up.

Tyler's first car was the 1989 BMW 525i pictured above. It cost $500 and confirmed his love for Beemers. At the age of 19 he had finally saved enough to buy his dream car, this 2003 M3. Here's Tyler to tell us all about it...

Hey y'all, my name is Tyler and I'm from North Carolina, U.S. My ride is a 2003 BMW M3 and I absolutely LOVE it. I have had it for almost two years and have had to put some TLC into it since I got it.

Owning this car is one of the most exciting experiences I think a 19-year-old college student can have. I remember when I was little my dad was always tinkering with some kind of BMW and all I ever wanted was an M3.

I've added a few goodies to the car since I've owned it, such as a set of lowering springs, competition wheels, cross-drilled rotors and a full Borla stainless exhaust system.

Even though it's a great car, it has had its ups and downs - one of the downs being the infamous SMG transmission. It finally gave out on me, so I recently did a complete six-speed manual swap and I'm even more attached to the my M3 than I was before! I'm sure there will be many more upgrades to come, but after all I am on a college budget.

I'm absolutely in love with the car and it feels so good to be driving my own dream ride. It continues to amaze me how it feels like a new car every time I get in it and I'm looking forward to putting many more miles on the clock.
