This Is The Rear End Of The New Mid-Engined C8 Chevrolet Corvette
The full reveal of the C8 Corvette is almost upon us. Without confirming what we already know - that it’ll be mid-engined - Chevrolet told the world a few weeks ago that the latest version of the sports car would be out on 18 July.
The Internet cares not for official reveal dates, of course, and with over a week to go before the big day, this image has emerged on Instagram. Purportedly, it’s of the C8’s rear end.
It certainly seems to match spy shots of the car, so we’re thinking it’s legit. It shows a rear fascia that has a clear familial link to the Camaro pony car, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
There are no technical details to go with the leaked image, although we are expecting a mix of turbocharged and naturally-aspirated V8s to be used for the C8 range. The sports car has also reportedly been delayed by electrical issues and problems with the frames of the more powerful prototypes twisting under load.
The C8 Corvette will be built at the General Motors Bowling Green plant, where a second shift and 400 jobs have been added to accommodate production.

Come on this is the internet, we don’t really care what it looks like we only want to know if the black plastic vents are real or not?! isn’t that how cars are judged now?
why does this car give me old acura nsx vibes? prolly just the looks honestly
If someone say this is the last gen Camaro i would 100% belive
It’s like a Huracan crossed with a Camaro.
And it’s ugly
It looks like a home-made Lamborghini that was stylized by an 8-year old who didn’t know when to stop. I just hope that the front-end looks cleaner than the back!
The rear looks way too overstyled on this. Why can’t the quad circles be brought back? I am one of those “young people” who love the quad rear circles, and I’ve kept loving them since I was 7 years old!
am i high or does that look like a lamborghini aventador’s rear
Those pipes can go f* themselves
I kinda like it…. (oof im gonna get so maany downvotes for this)
