Refinish an Ugly Subframe
It started as a “while you are in there” job. But the refresh on the subframe came out excellent, was cheap, and didn’t take that long.

I need to do this when i take mine out, PO thought a PS leak was ok and let it rot every piece of rubber and cover everything in fluid

I think this is a great video for when I redo my Miata’s subframe! I just hope that once I am done grinding the rust away that I’ll still have a subframe…
Hahah. If it’s that bad, grab a fresher one from a salvage yard, refinish it then just swap them out.

What about if both your vehicles are body-on-frame?
The prep will be similar but the paint and mask will be a little different
