Remember The Tunnel-Blasting Zonda Cinque? That Was The World's Most Expensive City Hoon

Zondas aren't the cheapest of cars, even here in the UK. But in Singapore, they're something else altogether...

Last week we stunned you into submission by revealing that in the tiny island nation of Singapore, new cars possess vastly inflated price tags intended to drive down congestion. A Mazda MX5? That'll be £100,000 with taxes, thanks. So, if relatively mundane everyday cars command six figure sums, just imagine how much the owner of the flame-spitting Zonda Cinque we showed you on Sunday would've needed to pay for his pride and joy.

Imagine no longer. In the UK, Zonda Fs were £895,000, and Cinques a nice, round £1m. Though we've been unable to find out how much this specific Cinque cost its owner, we can reveal that in Singapore, a Zonda F would've run you the equivalent of £1.6m. Judging by the Huayra's asking price of £895,000 in the UK, and £1.9m in Singapore, we imagine the Cinque would have cost its Singaporean owner around £2m at the very least.

Add to this the cost of the Gallardo (£625k) and Murcielago (£677k) visible near the beginning of the video, and you've got a £3.3m hoon, right there.

Reventon

Talking of Lamborghinis - it's thought that the most expensive car ever sold in Singapore is the Reventon Roadster, and that the country has perhaps the highest concentration of Reventons anywhere in the world, with four Coupes and four Roadsters. Though none are registered for use on the roads (costing their owners a paltry S$2.1m - or £1.1m - as a result), CNN claims taxing a Roadster would cost an additional S$5m (£2.6m), bringing the total cost to a staggering £3.7m. Yikes.
