Ride On Board A Tesla-Powered 1981 Accord As It Does A 2.48s 0-60mph Run
The 'Teslonda' is back, detailed in a new video that also includes a 0-60mph run
A couple of months ago we were blown away by an amazing 1981 Honda Accord that had been given the drive unit from a Tesla Model S P85. It’s now back in a new video, which gives us a closer look at the electric conversion - which includes a 16kWh battery from a Chevrolet Volt.
It’s a brilliantly mad build, with cool details including a bank of toggle switches (all labelled with felt tip pen, obviously), and an 80s arcade-style display complete with a custom animation of the ‘Teslonda’ itself. How cool is that?

Finally, we’re shown a 0-60mph run, which the car does in just 2.48 seconds. Anyone fancy seeing a drag race between this and a McLaren 720S…?

Ah ah look at that ricer with a fart can and everything
I just dont think it would be the same without being able to hear the engine roar
MattRobinson you mean a 16kWh battery? It’s a unit of capacity. Otherwise (16kW) it would make only 25ish bhp😂
