This Ride-On Toy Ford Mustang Actually Has Traction And Stability Control

Electronic driver aids are now so ingrained within the car industry, that even toys are starting to get traction and stability control.

Yep, the Fisher Price ‘PowerWheels’ Ford Mustang actually has traction control which “can monitor for wheel slip and adjust motor speeds to help keep the car going over wet grass or bumpy terrain”. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a tilt sensor which switches off the motors when a dangerous angle is detected, to prevent roll-overs. In other words, stability control.

Who knows, maybe this will teach future Mustang owners the value of keeping electronic aids on…

The PowerWheels ‘Stang also gets V8 sound effects, which should make the thrilling journey to the car’s 5mph top speed very exciting indeed. There’s even an auxillary jack input, should the diminutive driver fancy some banging tunes on the car’s speaker. The Best of Peppa Pig, probably.

It’s available this December for $359.99.
