Now, this is one journey through morning rush-hour traffic you wouldn’t forget in a hurry.

Imagine you are sitting in your car, either tuned in to your favourite station or on the phone to a friend when all hell breaks loose. That is exactly what happened on California’s Bay Bridge over the weekend.

A video captured by a bystander shows three cars being used to perform doughnuts in the middle of the road - something Americans refer to as a ‘sideshow’.

After being alerted to the stunt, one of the vehicles - a white Ford Mustang - was stopped by officers from California’s Highway Patrol. The driver was arrested at the scene and read his rights for reckless driving.

After initially evading police as they weaved in and out of traffic at speeds reportedly reaching 100mph, the other two suspects in the Fast and Furious-like escapade were pulled over a short time later. One of their cars was impounded for thirty days as they had been driving without holding a licence.

“Thank you to the public for calling in the crimes witnessed as well as providing us with video evidence to assist with charges filed,” CHP said on its Twitter page.

On a separate post put on Facebook, CHP wrote: “Two drivers decided that their adrenaline & ego was more important than the safety of themselves or others.”

I deeply hate these “shows” and people participating in them. Seems pointless to me, take it to a parking lot or track. Useless noise (when they are held at night usually), blocking traffic and generally dangerous execution. What is the point of this besides showing off?

I think it’s interesting, I like the idea of doing something you’re not supposed to do. Maybe track days where you can drift are limited or costs heaps amount of money. I think it’s more just outlaws having fun

In my country, stopping in a bridge is illegal.
What about the US?

Stopping on a bridge will get you a ticket for disturbing traffic flow here in the US.
If you break down you are probably excused, but you might get some words from people stuck behind you.

Not cool. I would have plowed straight through them if I saw this is what was holding up morning traffic and causing me to be late for work.

They usually get it done and keep it moving to avoid police attention. Surprised they were even there long enough to get caught

I mean if anyone else honestly likes this stuff, you can go watch this channel called supercar Suspects that literally has an entire channel based on going to these SIDESHOWS
Not gonna lie, they are fun to watch the craziness that unfolds, but it goes to extremes such as bullying cops, and even attacking them with stuff fireworks or even random objects(traffic cones, that shit)

And it’s really sad to see cops and such being disrespected by these filth

Yeah this happens a lot. It happened near me, except on a much larger scale, a few months ago there was a giant takeover of anything to do with FCA, there were Chargers and Challengers and Rams and pretty much all the other FCA things, minus the expensive stuff like Maseratis and Ferraris and Alfa Romeos. There must’ve been hundreds of them, they went from Philadelphia PA to Trenton NJ (an hour or so from me) to Times Square NYC. That is where the entire thing was put to a halt. It was chaos
