Say Hello (And Goodbye) To The Last Ever Hennessey Venom GT
After six years in (very) limited production, the Hennessey Venom GT is no more. The 12th car - one of six roadster versions - has been built and sold for $1.2 million to an unnamed buyer.
While its critics are keen to point out its (massively modified) Lotus base, the Venom lives up to its promise of being massively, maddeningly fast. The last cars - including this special ‘glacier blue’ Final Edition - put out 1451bhp via a twin-turbo V8, making 0-60mph possible in 2.4 seconds.
While the car’s 270.4mph top speed recorded at the Kennedy Space Center in 2014 was never a ‘proper’ Guinness world record, it remains a massively impressive feat. The GT did bag an ‘official’ record too, becoming the fastest car to go from 0-300kmh, which it did in just 13.61 seconds.
So long Venom GT, it’s been fun watching you do cool stuff.

Good bye old friend. ;(
Goodbye awesome limited edition modified lotus ;(
Can’t wait for the Venom F5!
Lotus would be proud, hell it even looks like one. Oh wait….
Hennessy himself may be a Con-Man but he did one thing well…. That was the Venom GT
Anyone can make a venom GT. Just LS swap a lotus and strap two turbos to it
Ehhhhh, not exactly XD
Isn’t it twin charged?

I think the only lotus left on the hennessey is the shell and thats just to keep it road legal
Maybe a body kit and something will help. Probably won’t be safe to crash in, though
You say that goes from 0-300kmh in 13.6 seconds? That’s what does my car from 0-100kmh.
Thats like how long my car takes from 0-0mph!
Because its non-existent
Crys In the corner
Smack a used turbo on her from the classifieds, don’t worry about measurin she’ll be right lad ;)
0-100kmh is 2.4
0-60 in the speed of an electric powered sedan. Puts it into perspective.
Well that price diference marks a difference between people looking at you and noticing you by hearing you
How long does it take the Tesla to do 0-300 then? …I’ll wait
This pleases Bugatti
Amazing car that I’m sad to see leave production. However, I’m glad that Hennessy won’t be able to screw people over for a couple years, at least until they start production on something else.
