Sebastian Vettel Thought The German GP Finished One Lap Earlier Than It Actually Did

Sebastian Vettel appeared to think the German GP lasted 66 laps and slowed down, only to realise there was still one lap left to go until the chequered flag – amazingly he didn’t lose any places

Vettel ended up finishing in fifth place, keeping hold of the position due to Kimi Raikkonen having a pretty average race and being that far behind his Ferrari team-mate. Oops. According to the Formula 1 website Vettel lost around 14 seconds with the error.

I wonder how that would have affected his future. Messing up and losing a race due to that would have left him with a checkered past…

Did he loose any positions, I saw 2 cars go by but I couldn’t tell if they were lapped cars
