Really disappointed. I trusted you guys and you let me down. Also, I have been online a lot and I have not seen this poll anywhere…

What do you guys think, what would be the price range for these in like 7-10 years

Probably about the same as they are today unless Ford produces a ton of them.

I still think it’s the Civic Type R.

The GT350R is basically just a Mustang with a super awesome engine. The FK2 Civic R is a triumph in engineering and almost certainly represents the absolute high-water mark in FWD hot hatchback design. Anything more powerful than that will have to be AWD.

The GT350R is the latest of a progression of hotter and hotter Mustangs. The Civic R is something that simply SHOULD NOT BE. And yet it is. That torque steer in a car that pushes 305hp at the wheels should wrench the steering wheel from your hands on four gears. And yet it doesn’t. It should be plagued with understeer, and it isn’t. And that’s not something that anyone can reasonably improve on.

You’re wrong and you should do your research before you post nonsense like this. The GT350R is not just a Mustang with an awesome engine. It’s more than that. The entire front end of the car is physically wider that a regular Mustang GT. It has a significantly upgraded suspension system that includes magnetic dampers. That’s something never seen before. It has the largest tires ever put on a Mustang. It’s wheels are made entirely of carbon fiber. It is nothing like the regular Mustang GT. It only shares a name and body style with it. The base model GT350 that starts at $47K is what you described, a Mustang GT with a better engine. The GT350R is an entirely different animal all together.

The problem with the R is that compared to the regular gt350, its almost entirely unattainable, after dealer markups, and actually being able to find one. I’m curious to see how they hold up against each other on a track, because honestly, if the gt350 is only 1-5% slower, in my mind that makes it a better car. 1 second isn’t worth 20k, especially if your losing a lot of comforts to get it.

The gt350r drops the weight, increases downforce, and adds very meaty tires. It is a track car while the gt350 is a “luxury sports car” (not quite sure what to call it…).

Rare that an American car would win this. Sweet.

I live near Dearborn where ford HQ/development is and I love always seeing and hearing the 350 and 350R’s go by. Had the chance to go inside one and hear some revs (amazing) nothing I dont like about this car
