Smashed BMW M5 'Ring Taxi: RIP

These images have just hit the web courtesy of our friends over at Bridge To Gantry. Yes, that's a 552bhp, 4.4-litre V8 BMW M5 'Ring Taxi and yes, it looks unlikely that the damage is repairable. Bad times...

Little is currently known of the build up to the smash - an incident which closed the 'Ring - but reports suggest that the M5 may have been driving in excess of 110mph before impact. Looking at the road surface, it's probable that the M5 lost traction on wet leaves and the greasy surface. We'll keep you updated when we know more.
