Steering Your Car With Pliers Only Works When You're Ridiculously High

Australian police were left stunned and shocked after pulling over a driver in Adelaide for reckless driving. The reason? Not only was the 38-year-old man driving while disqualified and for being under the influence of methyl amphetamine and cannabis, he was also steering the car with clamped locking pliers, which he used as a replacement for a missing steering wheel.

The driver was charged with driving while disqualified and with driving under the influence of drugs. He was also charged with driving without due care, driving in a dangerous manner and driving while unregistered and uninsured.

On top of this, police also believe that he was involved in a hit-and-run incident earlier that day, adding to the list of charges failure to stop at the scene of a crash.
