The Stunning Fiat 124 Coupe Could Be With Us In 2017
It looks like Fiat is working towards building on its successful Mazda-based sports car by producing a hardtop variant within the next year or so. After revealing the ‘rally-spec’ 124 at the Geneva Motorshow (which featured a hardtop), it seems that Fiat is trying to distance itself from the MX-5 with this full-production hardcore coupe.
A source has told Autocar that the fixed-roof 124 is under development in Italy and could be revealed as soon as next year. The car will not be based around the Mazda MX-5 RF’s retractable hardtop and will instead be designed solely as a coupe from the get-go.
Whether this slick tin-top will feature Fiat’s 1.4-litre turbocharged engine or the Abarth 178bhp unit is yet to be decided, but the 124 coupe could be an enticing entry to the sports car market for any true petrolhead.

This will take the crown of MX-5
Especially when the abarth versions get released.
That looks like budget viper
Looks like a smaller Viper lol..
Exactly what I thought 👌
Dodge is partnered with Fiat, so that’s no surprise lol
That’s what I thought there’s wayyyyyyy to much viper in the roofline and rear bumper and lights
Well, that’s not really a problem to be honest. Looking like a Dodge Viper, if anything, is a compliment for a car.
Absolutely agree
Looks like a Vipers and Fiat 500’s love child
Remember: Always be kind to ugly people cause you never know what they’re gonna release 19 years later.
Yeah but Fiat did this too! 5 pot turbo
An italien baby viper
YES!!! THANK YOU!
Il Viperino, che cosa più bella!
Nissan 240Z + Dodge Viper - ~462bhp = 124 Coupe 2017
MX-5 coupe would be better
There is the RF retractable hard top thing. Still a convertible though.
