I think the sound isn’t bad, could just be louder :P
What you always notice when standing at the trackside of a straight, you actually hear the air pressed away by the car. Same effect happens in Le Mans with the LMP1 cars.

Everyone is slagging off the sound and saying to bring back the old V8s or V10s and don’t get me wrong, I’d also love to see those back but I understand why these engines are in use, F1 now isn’t about the essence of the sport, it’s about innovation and money. Without most of the innovations F1 teams are currently making, we won’t have the fast road cars we all love because no one will have tried to make a high performance engine that can perform efficiently.

you need to look into WEC, they have been doing efficient engines for 5-8 years now, F1 was all about aero and cars breaking the track records almost annually. right now the bigger WEC LMP1 cars are running about mid F1 grid pace, which is shocking. all the people complaining have a right too, especially when you look 10 years back with screaming engines
