But if everyone uses the one foot rollout, then it is still consistent with all the other 0-60 times we see for other vehicles.
Not really, because 1 foot is a unit of distance, not time. A slower car will take more time to travel that 1 foot than a faster car (assuming the slower car have skinnier tires, so less grip), so the difference between the real 0-60 time and the measured one will be bigger for a slow car than a fast car. Am I right?
Electric motors= instant torque. I guess it seems faster when it all starts at once. XD
Not all the torque is applied the instant you mash the throttle. If you did that you’d just spin the tires, even with 4wd.
Honestly, if my tesla went 0-60 0.25 seconds slower, I would still be satisfied.
Honestly, WHO CARES ?? A 2100 kg car which can do the 0-60 in the same time than a Bugatti Veyron or a Porsche 918 is just awesome !
For 1/10 of the price. Also four passengers. Really good car.
Ever checked the weight of a Veyron? Makes it even more fantastic!
I don’t care! Its fast enough to me.
I think its because of the used tire and surface that it was drove on. you also have to think about temprature, because lower temp. means worse gliding (of bearings and everything)… so if u dont have a slicks, flat Street like a baby bum and ideal temprature…you shouldnt expect that youll get the same time from 0-100
I’m more interested in nissan patrol acceleration.
Autobots, roll out.
Tesla’s best 0-60 is 2.4s, still slower than a Porsche 918’s 2.2s
Finally someone relised that even the 2.28 is not faster that the 918. Thanks bro
Drivetribe Jethro Bovington did a piece, were he did o to 150 mph test between a Porsche 911 turbo a Nissan Gtr and the new Honda NSX it a great piece in three part put them on a rolling road as well around Cadwell park with a surprising conculsion.
one of the best piece of motoring jouralism this year in my book, it on the drive tribe section if you interested guys.
