— NRK (@NRKno) January 1, 2016This empty shell is all that remains of a 2014 Tesla Model S after it burnt to the ground while being charged in Norway. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but is being investigated.
The incident happened when the owner of the Model S plugged it in and left it for charging. On returning a short time later, the car was engulfed in flames. Firefighters had to use a special foam to combat the flames and to make the lithium batteries safe.
Luckily, nobody was injured.

It’s illegal to not have insurance here in Norway on car’s that are registred on the road.

That’s why hybrids aren’t cool at all, even if they’re treehuggers, the Tesla is not even worthy to save the environment, not like the Prius (who is also uncool but a notch higher than the Tesla).
