There’ll Be A Top Gear Special On The BBC This Christmas, And Clarkson’s In It

Top Gear may have a new host in the form of Chris Evans, but that doesn’t mean the BBC is quite finished with Jeremy Clarkson and co post fracas. This Christmas, the Corporation will be airing a special two-part show to celebrate Clarkson, Hammond and May’s time fronting TG, titled ‘Top Gear: From A-Z’.

The BBC says that the show “will feature astonishing footage, insider facts and quirky statistics from the past 13 years of the world’s biggest motoring show. It’ll laugh with the best, the oddest and the silliest moments from Top Gear, in alphabetical order, with each of the letters introduced by a star guest from the Top Gear celebrity fold.”

Of course, the trio of presenters won’t actually be doing anything new for the show since they’re no longer with the BBC (in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, you might like to know that they’ll be presenting a new show with Amazon Prime that debuts next year), so instead comedian and former Star in the Reasonably Priced Car guest John Bishop will be on voiceover duties.

BBC: “We fired Clarkson but we are going to air him for more money

Just playing devils advocate here, but the bbc don’t earn any money by having him on again, the U.K. Public pays for the BBC whether or not clarkson is on it, and since there are no adverts, the gain nothing by larger viewing figures. This is what people don’t seem to understand: with clarkson gone, barely anything changes, nothing the bbc do is monetised, any private top gear deals made were outside of the actual broadcasting company

Legendary

Evans should host this special and show his respect for CHM and what they turned TG into. Afterwards he should outline what his plans for the show are and that the “show must go on.” That would be the only way I would consider watching the show when it starts back up.

That’s actually not a bad idea. I was going to shun new top gear but if they say outright that they’re going in a different direction and they make that noted as a major point, I would actually give it a chance and watch it. Who knows, it could probably turn out good. What I don’t want to see is Evans and so on try to act like CHM for the sake of acting like them.

Thats not an Evo

Another clickbait title. Clarkson’s in it, but only in re-used footage, he isn’t in anything we’ve not seen already.
