Stamping Model 3 Body Panels (real-time)

Car production lines are more hypnotic than an evening at the International Brotherhood of Magicians’ annual general meeting.

Elon Musk has uploaded a couple of totally absorbing videos to Instagram, showing parts of the Model 3’s production line in action. So… damned… pretty. It’s a good distraction from the fact that production is way behind schedule.

The Model 3 body line slowed down to 1/10th speed

Amazingly, while the video at the top of this page is in real time, the one just above is slowed down to a tenth of its real speed. It must be awesome to watch at full chat, so we might petition the famous engineer to show us the full-speed version as well.

Frankly, watching these two just makes us want to curl up and drift off into beautiful, peaceful sleep, no doubt to dream of elegant machines dancing around us in a flowery meadow of Skynet-sponsored wonder. Right? Right…?

Not the video is at 1/10th speed but the actual robots work at a slowed pace during the initial production phase.
