As being a huge fan of Forza Horizon 2, I wanted to share some thoughts on what they should change and keep for the next Horizon. Forza Horizon 2 was a great game but it wasn’t perfect and come on, every game can’t be perfect.

Keep: Graphics and Details

The graphics and details of Forza Horizon 2 were amazing, every inch of the game amazed me with how beautifully it was made and you could see all the hard work they put in the game. The map was quite small compared to something like The Crew but the variety was great and I wouldn’t really mind if it is that small with all the variety of Forza Horizon 2 but there is one thing I would like to be added which I will mention in a second.

Keep: Car List

The car list for Forza Horizon 2 was amazing, there were so many unique cars that you were always amazed what you would find in the shop next time you went on a spree. I totally loved it, I would love the variety to be kept like that, I wouldn’t necessarily say all the cars should be the same but the variety should be unique and unexpected like that.

Change: Offroading

Forza Horizon 2 had quite a good and open map and we all loved it but there were places where you could possibly have gone and done proper offroading but they cut off those places with barriers and some people even managed to glitch and go to those places and to be honest, it was amazing how much more they could have added to the experience. I would really love to see proper offroading area where the dominant vehicle would be a pickup/SUV.

Change: Story

We all have to admit, there was barely anything to the story of Forza Horizon 2, you were expected to create your own sort of story and it got boring really fast. After winning my first Horizon Finale, I barely touched single player and when I did it was because Xbox Live wasn’t working. I would really love a story to be part of this game.

Change: Custom Races

Yeah, we were able to play with friends online and we had a choice of doing races but the only customization we could do was change the time of the day and which category of cars should be able to race. The Crew also recently gave us this mode and GTA has an amazing version of it, you should be able to create custom races and custom races are just more fun. Normal races get really stale really fast, I play a lot of online races and I get bored. It would be a breath of fresh air.

Change: Free DLC's

Okay, this is a long shot but considering how much the franchise has made from these games it would be great to get free DLC’s like Need For Speed did. We all spend $60 on the game and not all of us are able to buy the DLC’s afterwards and they always contain that one car that you so desire to own but you just can’t. It would be great if they could just give us free DLC’s.

Change: Customization

The customizations for Forza games have been very stale for a long time and it would be great to see proper parts and bodykits for the game and the rims have barely changed since Forza 4, it would be a breath of fresh air to bring in some more companies and get more rim choices like Vossens etc. Having Forza Aero and a circle sticking out of your car isn’t anything fun. We should get bodykits that would allow us to make our cars unique compared to others. I really loved Forza Horizon 2 but there was a lot missing and I would really love a few of these changes made to the game, specially the customizations.

I hated how you have to go through every car class with h2

The only thing they should change is the map size… I know it’s pretty big already. But make it (at least) as big as Test Drive Unlimited 2 was… 1:1 Honolulu, and 1:1 Ibiza map scale…

I’m I the only one that the Engine sounds were terrible (v8 cars AMG being the worst) that would improve the experience so much.

Good list, +1 for boring stories, it is a racing game, but it would be put over the top with an engaging story for those of us who prefer single player. One thing I would add is some actual good music like FH1 had. I did not know even half the artists in FH2 and the songs were not inspiring. One can only take so much D&B.

Interesting, I see it a bit different.

I think interior graphics and animations are below par, and have huge room for improvement.

Car list is great, no complaints here.

What FH2 did is lift OFF all the barriers that lead to offroad and that was a huge step up from fh1, im not sure how offroading is a problem.

Story would be nice, I’d even settle for the boss races like FH1 did, they were fun.

Custom LOBBIES is my issue, in FH1 the free roam host had full control over spawns, classes, that control isnt there anymore.

Free DLC probably wont happen, and honestly as if the 300 cars in the game arent enough.

Bodykits would be great, and more importantly a new rim set, its gotten beyond boring now.

Heres to hoping!

I wouldn’t say interior graphics and animations are below par but they can do some work with changing of gears and full rotation on the wheel would be sick to be honest.
