Things Turn 10 should Change and Keep For Forza Horizon 3

As being a huge fan of Forza Horizon 2, I wanted to share some thoughts on what they should change and keep for the next Horizon. Forza Horizon 2 was a great game but it wasn’t perfect and come on, every game can’t be perfect.

The graphics and details of Forza Horizon 2 were amazing, every inch of the game amazed me with how beautifully it was made and you could see all the hard work they put in the game. The map was quite small compared to something like The Crew but the variety was great and I wouldn’t really mind if it is that small with all the variety of Forza Horizon 2 but there is one thing I would like to be added which I will mention in a second.

Keep: Car List

The car list for Forza Horizon 2 was amazing, there were so many unique cars that you were always amazed what you would find in the shop next time you went on a spree. I totally loved it, I would love the variety to be kept like that, I wouldn’t necessarily say all the cars should be the same but the variety should be unique and unexpected like that.

Change: Offroading

Forza Horizon 2 had quite a good and open map and we all loved it but there were places where you could possibly have gone and done proper offroading but they cut off those places with barriers and some people even managed to glitch and go to those places and to be honest, it was amazing how much more they could have added to the experience. I would really love to see proper offroading area where the dominant vehicle would be a pickup/SUV.

Change: Story

We all have to admit, there was barely anything to the story of Forza Horizon 2, you were expected to create your own sort of story and it got boring really fast. After winning my first Horizon Finale, I barely touched single player and when I did it was because Xbox Live wasn’t working. I would really love a story to be part of this game.

Change: Custom Races

Yeah, we were able to play with friends online and we had a choice of doing races but the only customization we could do was change the time of the day and which category of cars should be able to race. The Crew also recently gave us this mode and GTA has an amazing version of it, you should be able to create custom races and custom races are just more fun. Normal races get really stale really fast, I play a lot of online races and I get bored. It would be a breath of fresh air.

Change: Free DLC's

Okay, this is a long shot but considering how much the franchise has made from these games it would be great to get free DLC’s like Need For Speed did. We all spend $60 on the game and not all of us are able to buy the DLC’s afterwards and they always contain that one car that you so desire to own but you just can’t. It would be great if they could just give us free DLC’s.

Change: Customization

The customizations for Forza games have been very stale for a long time and it would be great to see proper parts and bodykits for the game and the rims have barely changed since Forza 4, it would be a breath of fresh air to bring in some more companies and get more rim choices like Vossens etc. Having Forza Aero and a circle sticking out of your car isn’t anything fun. We should get bodykits that would allow us to make our cars unique compared to others. I really loved Forza Horizon 2 but there was a lot missing and I would really love a few of these changes made to the game, specially the customizations.

they should definitely add porsche as default cars, I don’t like the idea to buy a car pack just drive a porsche

I agree with everything you said bud. I’d like to see possibly character customization and along with what you said about the story line…id like to see a longer, more intricate story line. Something where you start off very small…like Honda Civic (or equivalent) small…and need to work your way up and progressively get stronger cars. Although I suppose that could be a game all in itself with a different title lol.

No, I think it can work with Forza perfectly and that’s what I meant by change in the story because in the current game it’s just one or two scenes telling our character what the horizon is and the horizon finale is, so that’s not exactly a story.

Love this game and I totally agree, could add some customization options similar to Need For Speed Underground where you could get custom parts from actual manufacturers.

Also would be awesome to have Off road courses and maybe even Hill Climb events.

Change: let us have a proper garages and park the cars in the places we want etc. so we can look at then in free view, like in project gotham racing 3, that was epic back in the day. Also having car dealerships around the city would be amazing, and having the possibility of checking the cars in the showrooms like in project gotham racing 2 and test drive unlimited. For me that would totally change the experience. And also having petrol stations would be nice, different cars having different fuel consumptions, etc… easy changes in the game that would make the game much better and would indeed make me buy a xbox one just for this game.

As I’m always drifting in these games especially in the forza games they should implement special drift mods such as steering so you can get crazy angles and more stuff.

Split screen would be magical, and gifting cars, and window stickers, and adjustable steering lock, and allow more camber, and wide body kits, and drag tires, and turbo lag, and doge

Catfish Camaro
Hellcat charger and challenger
1993 Ford Lightning
There are many others.

Another thing I would like and I’m sure everyone could agree with…engine swaps. I would like to be able to put a zr1 engine in a Miata…(you get the picture).

Also a proper 1 mile drag strip would be nice. 😉
