1. Honda Racing Team JAS Civic Type-R in WTCC

Ah, I do love a Castrol livery. This one is even more interesting, perhaps, because usually the Castrol colour scheme is round and ‘blobby’, the one on the 2016 Civic Type-R is very edgy, but no less sexy.

2. BMW M6 GT3 in FIA GT3

After spending many years in GT and endurance racing with the gorgeous Z4 GT3, BMW has replaced it the M6 GT3, and the looks haven’t let us down. And then there’s the traditional M Sport stripes… oof.

3. Honda Team Dynamics Civic Type-R in BTCC

Honda has been dominating the British Touring Car Championship for a number of years now, and for the 2016 season it has returned with another sponsor, Halfords, with the last time the two paired to create this vibrant livery was in 2006 with the Integra Type-R

4. ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport Spark Renault SRT_01E in Formula E

Motorsport has been fairly devoid of bright and colourful cars of late, so it’s nice to see that the latest ABT Formula E car bucks that trend completely

5. Ed Carpenter Racing Dallara DW12 Chevrolet in Indycar

White and gold is a very uncommon colour scheme (or is it black and blue? Or is that joke too old now? Carry on…), and personally I’m a massive fan. Eat your heart London’s billionaire elite…

6. Panoz DeltaWing Racing DeltaWing in IMSA

Because ‘murica, that is all.

7. Subaru Rally Team USA Subaru WRX STI in GRC

As well as that traditional Japanese white-on-white colour scheme, this Subaru has a rather large cherry on the top, which is glorious bright pink STI branding. Lovely.

8. AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE in WEC

Got stripes? Erm, yes. As well as an Italian flag stripe down the centre of the car, there’s a cluster of blue, green, white, red, black and yellow stripes splattered across the sides

9. Repsol Honda Team Honda RC213V

Oh look, another Honda. Although this time it’s the 2-wheeled variety, but similarly, it’s another traditional livery, this time Repsol sponsored.

10. Williams Martini Racing FW38 in Formula 1

Those instantly recognizable stripes markthe Martini colour scheme as one of the greatest liveries of all time. However, I feel as if the car overall is a bit bland. Needs more Martini stripes!

11. Scuderia Ferrari SF-16H in Formula 1

It’s hard to understand just how a little bit of white paint has got the F1 community so over the moon (it may suggest something the rest of the liveries, or F1 in general…), but there’s no doubt that this 70’s throwback is very cool indeed.

12. Team Penske Ford Fusion (Brad Keselowski) in NASCAR

It may be nothing extravagant, but white-on-white wheels has always a sexy af colour combo, and the little navy and red stripe along the skirts really sets it off.

13. Red Bull Olsbergs MSE Honda Civic Coupe in GRC

Obligatory Red Bull sponsored car. Red Bull liveries adorn at leats a car in almost every motorsport, and this is their latest, and as with every other Red Bull car out there, it looks awesome.

14. Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT in WEC

Relatively simple, yet effective. Also very ‘murican, with its red white and blue colour scheme, and perhaps, if the car is successful, may eventually become a classic and cover future Ford race cars.

15. Gulf Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in WEC

Another classic, and as well as now being used (rather ironically) on an Aguri Formula E car, it’s no doubt that Porsche and Gulf are a match made in heaven.
