Top Gear Episode 3: Live Discussion

Time for episode 3! Ep 2 seemed like a big improvement, but this should easily be the best yet. We’re looking at Chris Harris in a Ferrari F12 TDF, Rory Reid in a Ford Focus RS, and Star in the Rallycross Car….well, hopefully it’ll be a bit shorter this time!

Let the discussion begin…

On tonight’s Top Gear:
Chris Harris perfectly mimics Richard Hammond’s presentation,
Matt LeBlanc is just as humorous as James May, and
Chris Evans could be the perfect representation of Jeremy Clarkson receiving an enema.

Did RORY REID seriously say 376hp out of a 2 litre engine was “unprecedented”? I thought he was a European. Didn’t Ralliart sell FQ versions of Evos in Europe with upto 440hp out of the 2 litre engine?

And Chris Evans said his R8 v10 sends 100% of its power to the rear wheels. Somebody for the love of God explain to him the concept of drivetrain losses please.

With the R8 he’s not talking about drive train losses, he’s simply explaining the split of power per axle, like an impreza is 60% to the rear 40% to the front or whatever it is. We know about drive train losses but your average viewer might not so if he says 80% of the power goes to the rear they’d assume that means 20% must be going to the front

Chris Harris on Top Gear!!! We need more stuff like this and less Evans. Harris gets me all excited whipping about and doing an amazing job describing everything and Evans just makes me want to drill both my eyeballs and ear drums out with a half inch bit. He needs to go. Serve him some cold food after a very long and draining filming session.

Well alright, now since I watched the other two thirds of the show and made it to the Ken Block segment… OMG that was so epic!!! Still want to punch Evans in the face and remove his vocal chords. Sorry, it was that epic.

I miss his YouTube videography with Neil…. the Top Gear editing and videography makes it look so different from his YouTube videos that he’s selling Top Gear, not the car and its specs. If Harris can make his Top Gear reviews a bit more like how they are on YouTube, then I’ll appreciate the show a bit more. As for Chris, he rocked it out as always but I feel like Top Gear is cementing his skills to something that’s not of his

The TDF Harris segment was great, I enjoyed Kevin Hart, and as a whole I really think it’s on the improve. Obviously got a long way to go and it will never be as good as it was, but this most recent episode is the first ep to give me confidence that this show can continue and not die off straight away.
