Top Speed Autobahn Run: BMW M2 Vs BMW M235i

The new (ish) BMW M2 and the M235i hit the Autobahn to test their respective top speeds and acceleration. Just watch that M235i fly!

Honestly, I don’t understand…
The present-BMW is just garbage in my opinion. They don’t even know which one is the REAL M2.
For me, they stopped being a premium brand when they started with this kind of things. Doing an X4 for the people who don’t have money for a real X6. Its like those chinese copycats, but this time its a copycat with BMW 2-Year Warranty. Then making a flop 2 series grand tourer thing for the people who desperately want to have four wheels with a BMW badge stamped on it, just to tell others they have a “Bimmer”. And then there are the M diesels, why? Yes the 35d is a monster but since when an M car has a diesel engine? If they had stuck a diesel engine on an M3 E30, they would had probably been bust and bought by Rover. I love those times when I was a young boy and dreamed about even being able to see a THREE DOOR M3 or an M5 E34, E39 or E60 passing by… (Feels everywhere)

Being a car manufacturer is not as easy as in the 90’s etc. Emissions and stuff needs to be met. Its like the Aston Martin Cygnet, there was an outrage, but it may have saved the brand. Same with BMW, if they can sell their ugly minivan to that segment, fine, if it allows us to keep driving purist bimmers. But times change and those people saying ‘cars had more soul’, ‘M3 should be NA’ - its getting boring to listen to.

Besides that I agree. Every part of new bmws is scalled down to reduce costs and increas douchebaggery. Let’s see(talking about m4, but aplies to other models also): interior is quality is low. From seat positioning in m2 to plastic feel in m4. Steering is electronic and not praised at all. Same with sound, it’s just cheaper to use fake interior engine sound, than actually making it sound really nice. Well I guess akrapovič makes the most out of turbo engine, but other aspects of engine are not that atractive either. When it comes to outerior design it’s total sellout. Basic models are very mediocre looking, so they can charge extra for M sport packages, which are nice, but quite over the top. Looking at m4 outerior design, every edge of the car has 3 extra edges, to make it look fancy etc. There is M badge on every piece of it, just to showoff, when in reality “Msport models” are not really sport cars. Same goes with electric models. Same goes for i models. Overhyped cars, that aren’t even that impressive really.

Idiot driver. Standing on that acceleration line first, then use turn signals to the left, to say the driver in front to get the f*ck away. We love our Autobahn, but you guys are the reason for our politicians to ask for speed limits.
