Two Bugatti Chiron Test Mules Have Just Been Caught On Video During An Awkward Moment
We've seen a handful of spy shots of the Chiron in the last few days, but this is the first time it's been on video, with one of the prototypes seen gingerly navigating an incredibly tight spot...
There had been fears that the Bugatti Chiron - due to arrive in 2017 - would be canned due to cuts being made in the wake of VW Group’s deepening emissions scandal, however the presence of two test mules in Los Angeles shows the Veyron successor is still happening. Plus, Autocar recently reported that the Chiron is understood to be "safe" from any money saving exercises, given the advanced state of its development.
Power-wise, the expectation is for around 1500bhp from an updated version of the Veyron’s 8.0-litre W16, allowing for a frankly bonkers top speed of 286mph. Oh, and it’s set to be even more expensive than the Veyron. A lot more expensive.
