Update: Infiniti's Brutal Q50 Eau Rouge Could Be The Perfect M3 Antidote
Ahead of its unveiling at the upcoming Detroit auto show, Infiniti has given us a look at its Q50 Eau Rouge concept. It sits lower and wider than the standard Q50, and has been given lashings of carbonfibre: the roof, front splitter, side skirts and rear defuser are all made from the stuff. A meaty set of 21-inch forged alloys finish off the brutal look.
No technical details have been released, but Infiniti says the Q50 Eau Rouge 'represents design vision for high-performance products.' In other words, this concept could be a hint of a future BMW M3-rivalling super saloon. If that's the case, the Q50 E.R could run a highly-tuned version of the 3.5-litre V6 you'll find under the hood of the current range topper we recently drove across a Spanish mountain. Then again, the FX Vettel Edition's V8 might be just the thing; especially given the way this engine sounds and performs...
Update: Infiniti has since released another two photos of the Q50 Eau Rouge, showing the front and side of the car.
