Walter Röhrl is a rally legend who needs absolutely no introduction. The German won the Monte Carlo Rally no less than four times and was the man at the helm of the unstoppable Audi Quattro from 1984.

One of Röhrl's finest moments came in 1987, however, when he smashed his 600hp Audi Sport Quattro S1 up the 14.42-mile Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in a record-beating 10min 47sec.

These days, however, Röhrl spends much of his time scaring the hell out of passengers on hot laps. Most recently, he did just that with the new 300hp Audi S3 and German presenter Barbara Schöneberger. As he drives the car on its limit Schöneberger's reactions speak volumes. As the video title says, she 'silently screams' her way around, and even closes her eyes, paralysed by fear.

At the end of the ride, discussion turns to the car. With the window open, she comments that the tortured brakes smell as though Röhrl's worked hard. According to him, the car's not designed to be driven so hard. If anyone can, however, it's him.
