Watch This 700hp Homemade Juke-R Out-Drag A Veyron
The best kind of car tuning is the kind of car tuning that elevates a regular-looking car to hero status. We're talking Viper V10-engined PT Cruisers, and ultra-turboed Merc drift wagons. Or, in this case, a 700bhp+ Nissan Juke.
Instead of shelling out £400,000 for a 'standard' Nissan Juke-R, Russian tuning house Shpilli Villi Engineering (seriously) built its own ultra-Juke. The template is the same as a Juke-R: swapping in a GT-R's 3.8-litre bi-turbo V6, twin-clutch gearbox and all-wheel drive.
Except Shpilli Villi decided to upgrade the stock GT-R turbos, taking power from 542bhp to 700bhp on pump petrol, or 800bhp on race fuel. Add in massive tyres, a wider track and surprisngly subtle bodykit, and you have the world's ultimate crossover SUV: Japanese tuning mayhem with Russian lunacy on top. Now, what to race it against?
Naturally, the correct answer is a 987bhp Bugatti Veyron. And not just over a paltry quarter-mile either: this is the full one-mile drag showdown. Place your bets, and bring on the tightest drag race you'll see this year.
