Watch This Fantastically Weird Golf Do Actual Somersaults
It's no secret that we're big fans of retro modified Golfs here at CT. Remember that 180mph, 1000bhp Mk1 Golf, for instance? We all couldn't get enough of the thing!
Today's modified Golf is a little bit different, however. There's no crazy power upgrade, nor is there any burnout footage to drool over. No, what's special about this Golf is that it's been modified - by means of external roll cage - to roll 360 degrees forwards and land straight back on its boots. All that's needed to make this happen is a solid stomp on the brakes to let gravity do its thing...
Modifications that have been carried out to the Golf include a shortening of the wheelbase by around four feet, plus a suspension swap to the components you'd find on a Golf Mk2 Country model; this featured more suspension travel, four-wheel drive and was limited to 3000 units. The engine in this crazy creation is the standard 1600cc Golf unit. If you can find a crazier creation than this, we'd love to hear about it in the comments!
