In case you missed the news recently, Hennessey is cooking up something that’s quite clearly intended to ride the wave of Dodge Challenger Demon hype. It’s called the Exorcist (see what they did there?), and it’s a 1000bhp tuning package for the Camaro.
In this first dyno video, the LT4 V8 - now complete with a larger supercharger, ported cylinder heads, upgraded camshafts and much more besides - belts out an unholy (or righteous?) 959RWHP.
In the video description, Hennessey poses the question: “Will this be enough to cast out The Demon?” Nice.
Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.

It’s not that hard to make 1000hp nowdays… Get a demom, new tune, pulleys and exhaust and you will make way more than 100hp
It wouldn’t even be a race lol. 959 whp translates to about 1200ish horsepower, as opposed to the Demon’s 840. Plus, the exorcist will be several hundred pounds lighter. Unless it has severe traction issues, I can’t see the exorcist losing a drag race, and it definitely would win anything that involves handling.
