We recently brought you the winged beauty that is the Honda NSX Concept GT, and now we have our first chance to see it in action. This film gives a glimpse into the shakedown tests that Honda is conducting at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit ahead of its entry into the Japanese Super GT racing series.

Honda claims that the GT is a dedicated racer that merely channels the spirit of the new NSX, so don't expect the new sports car to look too much like this. That being said, the fact it runs a four-pot engine with hybrid gubbins - much like the Honda engine that will power McLaren F1 cars from 2015 - could be a signal to the future. It would certainly make sense from a business perspective; the old saying 'win on Sunday, sell on Monday' no doubt at the forefront of Honda's mind.

Regardless of all this speculation, what we know right now is that the NSX Concept GT looks as good as it sounds, so sit back and enjoy some on track action.
