Watch As A Huge Chunk Of Road Is Eaten Up By A Gargantuan Sinkhole

A massive section of road in Fukuoka, Japan is seen being swallowed up by a sinkhole thought to be caused by construction work

This huge sinkhole started to appear in Fukuoka, Japan on Tuesday, reports CNN.

What was initially two smaller holes soon merged and grew into a 30 metre long, 15 metre deep fissure, swallowing up a huge section of road. Sinkhole - which quickly filled with sewage (nice) - knocked out power to around 170 homes.

Local authorities believe it may have been caused by nearby construction work to extend a subway line.

Reminds me of what happened in September of 1994 here in Munich… There were construction works for a new Subway Tunnel, the street broke down and a bus got sucked in it as well… 3 people were killed (RIP)
