Yeah, seeing the car like that is painful. I’m just glad they were both alright!
Please don’t tell me that’s a real Under Glass that got f*cked up…
Unfortunately, it is. Driver and car, all the real deal.
From wikipedia “Riggle returned to exhibition racing in 1992 with a replica of the 1968 car.[2] The original 1965 car is still owned by Bill Shrewsberry and is in storage in Southern California.[3][4]”
Still wondering if that crash was scripted or not
It does seem a bit convenient. But I don’t think it was scripted. Otherwise, it would probably have been used as clickbait in the title. Also, it seemed pretty difficult to replicate. He crashed because the rears started bouncing after landing, which in a drag car can happen, but can also be set to do that intentionally. Either way, I give the benefit of the doubt and mourn the loss of a beautiful car, if only the body.
Why did Leno have his hand out the window if he knew they were going to crash.
What can go wrong?!?! ahhaah… DO THE BARREL ROLL!
[DELETED]
I think the rear tire pressure was too high + the there were bumbs… he probly didn’t chose the best path to do the wheelie.
That’s how I felt with my crash.. Just that I flipped once and it was like, 50km/h. -_-
I will send this to anyone who asks me “Why do you care about weight destribution?” ^_^
*On 4 wheels.
If this was a deliberate stunt, then why did Leno have his hand out the window?
true! he could have lost it crushed under the car!
Hence they are ok, I can make a joke…about american cars cornering…so..there it is.
