Watch A Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Helplessly Aquaplane Into The Barriers

The 12 Hours of Sebring was hit by an intense rain shower early on, which caught out several drivers and caused the No.11 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Townsend Bell to spin heavily into the Turn 17 barriers

Townsend, who shared the No.11 car with Bill Sweedler and Richard Antinucci, was able to get out of the car under his own steam and was quickly released from the medical centre. The Huracan GT3 actually damaged the barrier itself with the impact. The whole incident could have been worse though, as the Lamborghini narrowly avoided collecting a Corvette.

Rain at Sebring is not fun… The bumps will unsettle the most perfectly setup cars, when you add rain it’s absolutely terrifying

Turn 17 is no joke, even on dry.

You can see where he regained control after he does the full turn around, but there just wasn’t any traction to help out whatsoever. Must’ve felt gutted after that.

Props to the Corvette driver for not putting himself in the wall too. Quick thinking on his part.

I don’t think the Corvette could turn either, he was also on slicks. You could see him spin out at a slow speed.

That was the first time it had rained at that race sense 1989. I think that’s the year they said.
