With explosive-laden trucks being used in a number of horrific terrorist atrocities over the years, the US State Department is understandably keen to come up with ways of preventing this method of attack. That’s why the State Department gave the guys at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute a call, who developed this ludicrously strong steel barrier. It’s seven metres wide and is buried 45cm into the ground, and as you can see, it looks to be rather effective.
