You know the drill: it’s yet another ‘is car X faster than a Nissan GT-R?’ video. This time it’s the turn of Carfection to pit the much-loved, much-hated Japanese legend against something they bought along for the ride; the channel’s RS 6 Avant crew car.

It’s twin-turbo V8 and dog-carrying practicality versus twin-turbo V6 and Internet stardom. It’s not as close as you’d think, though, and without wanting to spoil all the delicious excitement for you, the GT-R just doesn’t seem quite on form, to us. Have a look and let us know what you think.

That is strange, are the presenters certain the Audi isn’t the 602hp performance variant? Are fully functioning GTR shouldn’t loose that badly. The RS6/7’s are underrated cars however this test is rather odd.

Yes i am a 12 yr old gtr fanboy, howeve i am aware a lot of cars are superior to it. I would still choose a gtr over the audi. Im not gonna say that the gtr should have won. It may have been a bad start or the audi may just be better.

Ooh, time for me to say this.

I still prefer the GT-R and would take it anyday over a wagon I have no feelings for whatsoever.
I like the GT-R irrelevant of how many different cars have been created to, and successfully beaten it in drag races.

Now watch. If anyone reads this post, I’ll be called a fanboy and lectured on how the GT-R is a stupid, emotionless, slow, fat, heavy, old computer and how I should hate it with the rest of CT.

It’s time to face the truth here. The GT-R is faster and should have won.

The Audi RS6 was in a very ANGRY and TRIGGERED mood that day because it has heard the people who say this: “The new Mercedes E63S Estate and Alpina B5 G30 Touring win it all, Audi RS6 is no longer special, time for an RS6 C8 in order to catch up to the competition!”
Audi RS6 C7: TRIGGERED
A short time later…
GT-R: “Wanna race?”
RS6: “OK!” (Takes steroids) (Wins)

……………………….
RS6 C8: “WAAAAAAAAAHHH! DADDY!”
RS6 C7: “Son, it’s okay, shhhh——-WAIT, CAR THROTTLE, YOUR STILL WATCHING ME!? GET THE F* OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!”

This seems fishy to me. The quarter mile time for each of these cars is about a second and a half apart and I’m not sure if this was exactly a quarter mile but it didn’t seem like the gtr would catch up any time soon. Also in the first part of the clip it really didn’t look like the Gt-R driver was really pushing it. I have no doubt that the Audi could win, just not by that much.
