Watch The New Porsche 911 GT2 RS Charge To 221mph
The hardcore 991 GT2 RS is seen beating its official top speed in this thrilling autobahn run
We get it: the Porsche 911 GT2 RS is rather brisk. A 6min 47sec Nurburgring Norschleife lap time clocked a month and a half ago proved that rather nicely, but just to hammer home the point a little further, here’s Sport Auto taking Porsche’s fastest ever 911 down the autobahn.
It’s seen hitting 200mph in under 30 seconds, before gradually pulling up to 221mph (356kmh). That’s 10mph more than Porsche’s official top speed figure for the 690bhp, 3.8-litre twin-turbo monster…

Damn, Koniggsegg about to get beat again soon.
For some reason I like cars that can handle (feel good to drive) and go fast than just go fast…
deathstares at Bugatti
That’s pretty awesome
I’ll just leave this here
Aftermarket exhaust is needed, Anyone else agree?
That thing is in hypercar top speed territory. It even beats the 918’s top speed of 211.
It’s exhausts were glowing!
I think hitting 356kmph was a deliberate clever play by Porsche. Why? 356 was the name of Porsche’s first car!
I don’t know why, but I feel as comfortable being in a GT2 RS at 360 km/h than being in the 2013 GT500 at 300 km/h, which is: not really.
