Watch A Plucky BMW 135i Give A McLaren 675LT Some Real Hassle On Track
Despite being shown a blue flag, this 675LT driver refused to let a faster driving BMW 135i through
This 135i may have had a bunch of new parts thrown its way - including a Quaife LSD and bits of M3 in the suspension - but it’s still a relatively heavy BMW coupe with half the power of the 666bhp McLaren 675LT.
Regardless, with some committed driving, he’s able to give the 675 up ahead some real bother in the corners (the McLaren is actually shown the blue flag at one point), before helplessly watching it power away on the straights. Eventually, he is let past by supercar.
But don’t be too down on the 675LT driver: taking a hugely expensive, one of 500 car on track - even if that’s its intended stomping ground - takes balls, so we can forgive them for being a little tentative in the corners.

The 135i driver when he eventually gets past…
I bet the McLaren driver called the dealership afterwards and asked them why a 50.000$ BMW is faster on a racetrack than his 500.000$ 675LT ^^
Dealer: “sorry sir, we don’t sell skill”
$50,000? Not sure about US but you can get one of these in the UK for under $35,000
Well the owner has a P1, Aventador Sv, a Speciale, and a bunch of other cars so he’ll just pull another one out lol
Difference between a fast car and a fast driver
Thats just a replay of me racing online.
Legend is the McLaren driver is still getting blue flagged by that Bmw.
this reminds me of the time when i humiliated a seat leon cupra while driving my old yaris-verso… in the straights he caught up, but in the corners he didn’t stand a chance, he didn’t know zilch about taking the best line…. and this is always the debate between american raw, straight-line power and european and japanese refinement and handling abilities…
It’s Funny You would say that about American Cars when A Z06 kept up with a McLaren P1 Through the Corners… Sure the P1 was out of reach at Straights but at the Corners, he was right on the P1’s arse.
Your argument about American vs European and Japanese is fast becoming outdated and irrelevant.
I was expecting Sebastian ‘Blou Flag’ Vettel
Top 5 most effective mods to make a car faster:
5 Increase power
4 Improve brakes
3 Increase downforce
2 Better tyres
1 Better driving skills
0 Stickers
I would change 2 for low budget ones like me:
5 Make your car lighter (removing seats and all unnecessary stuff)
3 Adjust suspension
It’s not about the car, mostly driver skill. I went to a local track in my GTI and there were people in MK2 miatas passing 600hp GTRs, it seems crazy but it’s true
I always do the same in my 8v mk2 GTI. “is that 2lturbo, errm no, standard 8v mate….”
In the ex company car, continuing his driving from abu dhabi………
