Watch An RUF CTR3 And Ford GT Spank 200mph In A Head-To-Head Battle

Ultra-rare RUF CTR3 takes on a Ford GT 720 Mirage, and we're all invited

Everybody's favourite supercar spotter Shmee was given the opportunity to witness first hand a 200mph+ race between two ultra rare supercars - the RUF CTR3 and the Ford GT 720 Mirage.

Filmed at the Vmax200 event on Bruntingthorpe's two-mile runway, the RUF CTR3 - 1 of just 12 and packing around 700hhp - takes on the orange GT, which packs 720bhp. On paper there's not a lot in it, and on concrete the margins are just as tight.

Aboard the RUF, we hit an incredible 203mph, while the 720 Mirage eventually manages a respectable 200mph. Looking out of the passenger window at those speeds is an intense experience - even from behind the lens!
